“Over the years members of the DuPont Legal Department have given of their time and talents to many nonprofit, civic, educational and faith-based organizations. More recently, a group of our lawyers decided to take these volunteer efforts to a new level to assist those in need in the community.
As a result, the DuPont Pro Bono Project was initiated. The Project mission is to serve the legal needs of the local communities in which DuPont operates through the individual and combined talent, skills, expertise and available resources of the DuPont Legal staff. We wanted to provide effective and meaningful voluntary legal services to people and organizations who otherwise could not afford them. In so doing, we wanted to follow the long-standing practice of so many Delaware lawyers and legal professionals in the community.
Working in partnership with the Delaware Volunteer Legal Services, the Office of Child Advocacy, the Veterans Law Clinic at Widener University Law School and the Richards Layton law firm, our pro bono work was able to deliver legal expertise and experience to some of the most vulnerable in our community.”
